Valentine's Plans

Do you guys do anything for Valentine's Day?

We typically do cards and maybe something small, like candy or a DVD or maybe flowers and sometimes go out to dinner.

This year it will be cards, a cute StarWars-inspired print I found on Etsy and a Star Wars M&M holder and no going out to dinner. I did get him a steak though.

We're pretty low key anyway.  steaks on the grill and lobster bisque this year.  I have a card and some reese's hearts for dh and some chocolates for the kids

I'm getting him some running socks he's been coveting that are silly expensive, but he wants them and a card.

We usually don't do much b/c my birthday is so close, but this year I think we probably need to take every opportunity to make each other feel special, so running socks it is!  :D

We do cards, go out to dinner and usually set a limit of $1 to spend on a "gift".  However, this year when I mentioned the $1 thing, he said he had forgotten and had already spent more than that.  So I went shopping and got him an everyday watch he's been looking at recently.  We went to dinner on Saturday night because he'll be working the 14th and all this weekend.

We celebrate on the 13th because that's the day he proposed, but we don't do too much.  This year, we're going out to dinner.

we rarely celebrate on V-day. we may go get lunch together. we'll go out to dinner sometime next week.

I'm going to make an effort not to fall asleep before getting it on with H.  Other than that, I got nothin'.

Maybe cupid will be kind and send us some disability payments.  That would be tres romantic.

mrsC, just because cupid doesn't fart all over it, doesn't mean it can't be considered romantic. ;)

We don't normally do anything for VD other than order some Chinese food.  This year, we're going all out with a fancy sit down dinner at White Castle.  We got the last open slot at the one by our house a month ago.  I plan on taking pictures.  We might spend upwards of FIFTEEN American Dollars!

LOL, true.  But he heard me.  H just told me that he called and everything is good to go.  Money should be in our account in the next day or two.

I thought we were going to have to barter DefConn or something.  ;)

We're also going to Disney this weekend, so that's part of Valentines too.

Generally we just do cards and I might make more of an effort with dinner or a dessert. This year we're spending the day together going to DD's specialist appts and then getting our taxes done. He has class that night so we might try to do lunch in between appts.

Steak and Lobster bisque sound DELISH! we usually go out to dinner the night before to avoid "the rush" and he'll make dinner on the actual "day" (usually- that's the only day he turns a stove on).

LOL!!!! My bus buddy was just talking about this! apparently you have to make reservations, there's tablecloths on the tables, and workers bring you your white castle to you. HILARIOUS! But is white castle a moment killer? I don't know about you- but it gives me a bad bad case of the BG'S!

no plans for V-day. I got DK an introductory beer brewing kit - so i'm expecting he'll be super excited. I need to get a brew kettle and some bottles, so i told him he can pick out the 2nd component of his gift at a local shop after v-day. He has no clue what is in the massive box in our dining room.

I took off for Presidents' Day (DK has the day off) - so we'll be spending som kid free time together then - probably go out for lunch and either go to D&B/go karts/mini golf or explore some new area of town.

We'll probably just hang out at home, unless H is craving some culinary magic.  We'll rent a movie and hang out.
I bought him a card, candy and puzzle.  WHEE!  Old people loving.

I'd love sliders for Vday!  I also want to make White Castle stuffing some year.

WC is the best thing ever invented, IMO.

I hope I still love WC come Thursday.  I kind of hate most foods and drinks right now.

    Boo.  Aversions are the worst.

But I found that I could usually stomach fried goodness.  LOL
