Custom cut mirrors? I don't know where to start on this one...

So I am looking to do something that seems so simple, but have no idea as to where to begin on this fun little project...

I am looking to custom fit a mirror into a large oval open picture frame, from here I will use this mirror to hang infront of the buffet and place it as a large menu preview for all of our guests to see what's for dinner!

Has anyone here ever cut mirrored glass before? I don't want to go with a chalkboard as they get messy and it's just not the clean, crisp look we want to use for our theme.

I don't know how easy something like this is and just how long it would take, or if it's even worth it?

Any alternative ideas would be much appreciated. Embarassed

  • Hobby Lobby has half off sales on their mirrors all the time.  You could probably pick one up already there for a good price, possibly less than what someone would charge for cutting a custom piece of mirror.  Good luck!
