My fall wedding DIY Boutonnieres

Early on in our planning, we decided that we were going to DIY a lot of stuff, since our budget was tight (still is, but you ladies know how that goes... :) .  My FI and I are paying for everything ourselves with a tiny bit of help from my mom, so the decision was made to spend most of the money on food, music, booze and photography...which meant I had little left for decorations and flowers.

I found LOTS of great info online on how to make tissue paper flowers, bouquets and boutonnieres...and here's my very FIRST try at these guys. I made the fiddleheads/monkey tails out of sculpey oven-bake clay, the flower out of tissue paper and wire and clipped some berries from fall-colored floral sprays.  I really love how it turned out...what do you ladies think?

!  That's actually a thought I had earlier today, when I was feeling quite ambitious...until I realized every minute of every day for the next two months  I'm going to be spending making stuff for the wedding!  Maybe after the wedding's over :)  Thanks for the compliment!

    OMYYY

that is the cutest thing ever!!

I'm having almost the same thing for my guys to wear-except i'm probably paying an insane amount of money for them!!

I'm really not that crafty so I don't think I'd be able to do that as nicely-plus for some reason the fi doesn't want me to diy that much stuff (i think he's afraid ill mess it up)
    but anyways---those are so darling!!

Awww...thanks for the compliment!  I really do love them.  And believe me, if my budget wasn't already stretched to the max, I would have definitely paid someone to make them for me!  Feels good to know it's something I made myself and I saved a lot of money in the process...but I won't lie, it's time-consuming!!!
