Hello Vegas!

I've been lurking for a bit and decided it's finally time to come out of hiding.  My FI and I are doing a DW to your amazing town April 14, 2012.  And I would love to get some recommendations from you.  I've already gone through the sheet with everyone's venues and learned so much.  But, what I'm in need from is some other venue suggestions.  We're looking for a ceremony only garden area, preferably not a hotel, for 20-30 guests.  I've got Bellaza, spring preserve, lakesideweddings.com and mon bel ami as my top ones.

I can't wait to pick your brains about Vegas!

    Can't help you on non-hotel gardens, as I did a garden wedding at Caesars.

    Hi!  Our colors are soft pinks and greens.  I sent off for some info from Caeser's.  The garden is really beautiful.

    Some  friends went to a wedding at Chapel of Flowers and they said it was in the hood and there were better places around.

    Anyone know anything about Sunset Gardens?

    Hello and welcome!  DH's family live in Henderson so we did check out Sunset Gardens - the garden itself is very pretty, but it's in a strip mall on a very busy street.  I just didn't like the first impression you get when you first arrive - it also didn't help that the guy I met with was extremely pushy.  My SIL has been to a couple of weddings there though and said they were nice.  The Terrace was another place we looked at and liked, but we ended up having our wedding at a golf course.

    ETA - what are your thoughts for your reception, since you mentioned "ceremony only?"

    Thank you.  I'm actually looking at weddings 4 u.  They have some pretty spots.  I'm just nervous about committing before I explore my options.

    The friends that went to the wedding at Chapel of Flowers are going to be moving to Henderson in a year.  They love the neighborhood out there.

    I didn't know that about Sunset Gardens.  Thank you!!  That's definitely not the feel I'm going for.

    For the reception we're going to do dinner at a restaurant in a private room.  I want to see about doing an in-suite reception, but we'll see.

    Also, how do I update my ticker for a Vegas one?

    It's not that bad there. I got married there and LOVED it. Yes, the area isnt too nice but I havent been there in 2 years, so maybe its different but once you are on their grounds, it's beautiful. I'd say give it a try or at least look at the website and get other reviews of the place.

    Yeah, so far everyone on this board who has gotten married at CoF loved it - i've only heard one negative comment (actually multiple negative comments from one, unnamed person) about the area, but the pictures & reviews have been incredible.

    I think we're going ot get out there in December to look at a few locations.  I don't want to rule a place out by one persons reviews.
