rehearsal dinner in Gaithersburg/Rockville???

I have been calling around everywhere trying to find a restaurant that will take a reservation for 40 people on a Friday night - no one wants my business (I've had multiple restaurants tell me they won't take reservations for Friday nights).

Where are you having yours?  Anyone wanna share?? :)

    I guess it depends on what type of food you're interested in.  Many Asian restaurants will accommodate that many people, and some have special party rooms.  If you want more casual American fare, Famous Dave's does special parties.  That's Amore (Shady Grove Rd) has a special party room as well, and I've seen large parties in Bucca Di Beppo (Kentlands).

    Thanks - I'm trying to stay away from asian as my reception is a Chinese banquet, and about 1/3 of th people involved are not Chinese (including me & my family) - and may not want all Chinese that weekend.

    I've had That's Amore recommended by a few people now, also Flaming Pit.

    I'm not a huge Bucca Di Beppo fan...but I'm considering it if all else fails.

    You could check Clydes - we are having our RD at Clydes in Chevy Chase - I'm sure the one in rockville does banquets/events as well.

    There is a very good Italian restaurant in Rockville Pike - Timpano. They have a private room that can accomodate 40 people and the food is delicious!!!
