Looking for DJ that is budget friendly perhaps?

Hi all,

My fh didn't even want a DJ-he just wanted to hook up our iPod. Well we went to a wedding with a great DJ so I think that finally convinced him that it was worth it :)

However, we're having a small budget wedding, so for 4 or 5 hours (ceremony and reception in the same space) we really only have/want to spend $500 MAX.

Anybody we can check out in our price range? It seems like $100 an hour should be pretty normal, but I've been quoted $1600 for 4 hours!!!

Thanks so much ladies, I really appreciate any suggestions! Laughing

We're using Sean Denard through Hansen Entertainment (Ric Hansen, the owner, is a friend of FI's family). He's been great, and he probably has the ability to work within your budget (or at least, just slightly higher).

Ric's number is 800-954-3535, and his website is http://hansenentertainment.com/.

We were going to do the same thing until we went to our best friends wedding this past weekend and were blown away by how great the DJ was! The Dj was Sean Denard, same as the above post, he is amazing and kept everyone (even people who dont usually dannce) on the dance floor the whole night! He is super reasonable and a great DJ... if you google Sean Denard Dj his website will come up, good luck!

Hello Carographer!  If you haven't found your DJ yet, maybe I can be of assistance!!!

I'm new to this board and the Seattle/Tacoma area (actually I'm from SoCal like you), but I'm an experienced wedding DJ with exceptionally competitive pricing.  I offer a complete indoor wedding package with a full lighting system for up to 5 hours, at only $415.  This is an introductory rate and well below market value, as I build my reputation and client base around here.

Please check out my website at http://djchromatic.yolasite.com/.  You'll be glad you did.  :)
