  • I made "crock pot chicken" over the weekend and it was so good. I forget how useful the crock pot is. I put some frozen chicken breasts in there w/ cumin, chili powder, garlic and some water. After a couple hours, I shredded it and have used it for soft tacos. So easy and so simple.

  • I made pretzel rolls a few weekends ago, and we used them for cheddar barbecue sliders.

I also made hot honey barbebue crock pot chicken (you just put a few frozen chicken breasts in the crock pot and cover it with a mixture of barbecue sauce, Frank's hot sauce, and honey, and after the chicken is cooked you shred it and let it sit in the sauce for another hour or two.

I like barbecue, can you tell?
  • I need a new crockpot, I miss how easy it was but mine quit working :(
  • FI and I had barbaque pizza last weekend - we bought pulled pork and pre-made pizza crusts (since this was a last-minute craving), and added peppers, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms and some mozzerella.  It was delicious!  Sadly, I left my leftovers in FI's refrigerator, so no pizza for my lunches this week :(
  • @agape, the hot BBQ chicken sounds really yummy! I may borrow that idea

  • I'm following you!

Here is the pin for the cupcakes :)
  • Pasta with cauliflower and brussle sprouts.  Usually, I'm not a huge fan of those vegetables, but a friend made it for me at a party (because of my stomach problems) and it was really good.  It's a great way to work those vegetables into your diet:

  • I like to make paprika potato wedges.  You microwave a baked potato then cut it in eighths long-wise (well I usually make several potatoes at a time) then you coat them either with butter or oil (you could probably use one of those basting brushes, but I don't have one) and then you sprinkle on paprika, salt, pepper, and a dash of red pepper. We have a partial convection oven, so I cook it for 12 minutes at 425 with the convection button pressed. It would take about half an hour at 425 in a regular oven (until crispy on outside).

Eat with ketchup. Sooo good. (Not at good without the ketchup, though if yo don't like ketchup but like another condiment you could probably try that.)

I don't really cook a lot. I need to learn how more because in India I'll be doin gmost of it. Ryan and I were actually talkin gabout this today. He doesn' tknow how to cook at all. Like at ALL. His family just eats take out a lot. I know how to cook... I just don't that often because I live with my parents and my mom's kitchen is, as she puts it, "a one fanny kitchen".  But I plan on practicing some basics before we go (for one I need to cook chicken... I cook beef a lot but I never really cook chicken and in India we'll never eat beef so... lol) but I will still have a lot to learn when I get there. I had thought I'd bond with my MIL asking to learn his favorite recipes... except his mom doesn't cook. ever. lol
