Hi all! I have been lurking here for a while and figured it was time to join in! My wedding is June 1st and I am trying to drop about 15 pounds and really tone up. I am not really overweight, but I know I can be hotter and healthier than I am now! For exercise I do a small group bootcamp class with a trainer that I'll go to twice a week. I started it 8 weeks ago and only did once a week, and I felt like I knew I was much stronger but not seeing it in the mirror, so I really think this twice-per-week cycle will really bring me into high gear. I try to go to the gym another 2-3 days per week and do a zumba class or push through stairmaster misery.
Even though I think I have been working out really great, my trainer (and a lot of people on these boards) insist that the reason I haven't seen the numbers budge on the scale is because of my diet. I think I ate pretty healthily but according to him, I need to be damn near perfect to get anywhere. So as of today I am all about protein, and trying to cut out empty carbs, sugar, alcohol, and dairy. It officially sucks. I miss pasta. I just know that if I put on that dress weighing exactly what I weigh now I will kick myself, and will feel that the money I spent on classes will be a waste.
So that's where I am now, and I am excited to join in on accountability threads. Good luck everyone!
Dreaming of our Hawaiian honeymoon!
