planners and photographers?

hey brides-to-be :) just wanted to introduce myself, i'm alison and no where near being engaged but my passion for weddings has led me to this site many times to daydream! i am an engagement/wedding/boudoir photographer with a dream to be a wedding planner.

trust me, i want nothing to do with anyones money on here or to advertise myself, i am coming here for help and questions! i have been away at college and know little about many planners and photographers in the toledo area now (no idea why it says im from cincy).

my question is: does anyone know, from talking to their planner or photographer, if they offer any sort of internship-like work for their businesses? i would only like to know if anyone has heard of anything, such as if they had a 2nd shooter who was a student, saw a random person doing odd jobs that probably was there for free, etc.

i am aware most of the toledo businesses are family owned and operated AS WELL AS i shouldn't be on here since i'm not getting married but i would absolutely love to get to know some of the people that help you ladies prepare and capture such a beautiful day. as an art major, i was always told to stay close to competition since one day they could be your partners in creating something beautiful.

    Call the different studios around told and ask them about helping them out maybe show them your work.

    other than googling studios in toledo, what is the best way to find out different ones? i know of a couple but maybe i'm just being ignorant and not looking where i am supposed to be. i'm sorry if i'm disrupting the flow of things on the message boards.

    If you scroll to the bottom, you can search keywords on the board.  If you search photographers, you will find previous discussion on photographers in the area and that might help.

    i think that is an excellent idea. also you can look up vendors on the knot (instead of the knot boards). Quite a few are listed under toledo.
