Help!! Independant florist needed

I'm on a budget and alot of the quotes I've recieved from big name shops are pricing me over what I can afford. I'm looking for an independant florist that would be able to help me create the look I'm asking for within a reasonable price. My wedding is on 9/04/11. If you know of anyone that would be able to help me, please let me know. Thank you!!

      You should try posting this on your local board. My only concern is that if you've been to several florists, perhaps that's just how much flowers cost in your area for what you are asking for. Maybe you should try going with a particular color, style and price and see what the florist comes up with. Giving the florist flexibilty on size of arrangement and types of flowers can help your budget.

    go back to the forist you liked the best and tell them what your budget is. Let them give you suggestions as to what they can do to maximize your fowers for what you have to spend. That is their job. Nothing gripes me more than having a consultation and the bride gives me a list of everything she has always dreamed about having for her wedding and when I ask for a budget they don't tell me. I then get accused of charging more than they can spend.  You have to be up front with the florist.We don't care if you have $50 or $5,000. We want to give you the most for your money too.
