Venue Recommendations

Hey girls! I'm a Boston Knottie looking for recommendations for a small (under 35 people) venue for a wedding the second weekend in September. I'd love something by the water but am completely open. I've been hitting my head against a wall doing research and all I can find is big venues for 100+ people. We have a small, budget friendly, laid back wedding in mind and would love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks in advance! :)

I would try restuarants that do things like showers and rehersal dinners.  They usually have smaller rooms meant for parties of about 50 or less.  I would also check out the link in my siggy labeled NH Knotties.  It lists venues that other NH brides have used.  GL!

L'Andana in Burlington, MA.  They have a gorgeous function room that holds up to 60.  The food is fantastic and their pricing is very reasonable.

We almost booked it but really wanted a larger outdoor space.  My sister is now getting married there in July though and they've been great to work with.

    Good luck with your search!

Salvatore's Italian Restaurant in Lawrence has  3 (maybe 4) different function rooms and you could get married on the deck overlooking the merrimack river. The food is really good!

JP Stephen's Restaurant & Pub in Rindge, NH. It's beside a pond with a working old mill. They have a function room that (I think) maxes out at 60 people. http://www.jpstephensrestaurant.com/

What about Three Chimneys Inn in Durham NH?  Its not near water, but its very quaint especially for a small group of people.

Bedford Village Inn does a lot of small weddings in their restaurant.  No water, but gorgeous grounds!

I've also wanted to check this place out right across the border in Tyngsboro, MA:

I had my RD at JP Stephens and they were fabulous!  DH and I paid for our wedding/RD everything on our own so they are pretty budget friendly.  We only had about 15 people at the RD so they let us order off the menu and sit on the deck instead of paying to order off the function menu.  I went to funtctions there in college too, great food.  Cathedral of the Pines is right down the road.  I got married there in Sept.  I only had about 75 people at my wedding.  I know they had deals for less than 50.  GL!

The Governor's Inn in Rochester is another choice. Again, another venue not by water, but totally budget friendly, and they have a smaller function space other then their ballroom. Totally worth a look. They have been great to work with!
