WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR PEOPLE TO MAIL IN THEIR RSVP CARDS???

Yesterday, four different friends texted/called me to talk about how excited they are for the wedding. None of them have RSVPd. By the end of the night, I finally asked one of them why they hadn't sent in their card if they were already making plans to come. "Oh, I just have it sitting on our desk right now and haven't mailed it yet!" WHY NOT?

So annoying. I just want to know for certain who is coming gosh darn it! we still have 222 guests who are undecided. I know we still have 20 days before our RSVP deadline, I am just really impatient!

Beyond annoying.

A lot of the people we're still waiting on all have recently had weddings, too. WTF, you idiots should be more sympathetic than anyone!

FI's mom is going to have a lot of people to call since she decided to invite a million people as "courtesy invites" and we've only heard from about 4 people on his side of the family.

It annoys me too!! I got our rooming list for the hotel and people have booked their hotel rooms who have not sent in their rsvp's go figure!! We get like 2 responses a day I want to get 5 a day like we used too!!

LADY same thing here!!! About half of our rooming list at our main hotel block (which is where the reception is) are taken by guests who haven't sent in their RSVPs. OBVIOUSLY YOU GUYS ARE COMING!! SEND US YOUR MEAL CHOICES GOSHDARNIT

Today we only got ONE measly RSVP. Before today we had been getting like 5-7. UGH.

I seriously don't understand either. 5 of FI's co-workers haven't mailed theirs yet. If you see someone every day, wouldn't you be reminded that they need your rsvp?

Our deadline is Saturday and we have been getting flooded with RSVPs this week. I think a lot of ppl wait to the deadline, even though in most cases, they already know if they'll be attending. I agree it's annoying! But you should get the majority back by your deadline or a day or two afterwards.

I guess I had it in my head well before I even sent the invitations out that I was more than likely going to have a ton of RSVPs not sent it.. so I kind of expected to be calling a ton of people. I think having that mindset ahead of time helped a lot with me not being stressed out about it.

I guess we have to think about it this way.. For us, our wedding is constantly on our minds--it's the number one thing in our life right now. For our guests, the RSVP is just one small to-do in their giant list of to-do's you know? It isn't constantly on their minds like it is ours so they often forget or misplace the RSVPs. I keep trying to remind myself that to help me stay patient with everyone

I'd say about 60% of my RSVPs came in during the week of the deadline. I only have a short list of stragglers.

I don't get it either! Most of my bridesmaids haven't sent their rsvp's in! My FI's side is definitely winning on turning in their rsvp's over my side. Our deadline to rsvp is June 22nd, so hoping we get a good chunk in over the next couple weeks. The last thing I want to do is be our guests mother and ask them if they are coming and to send in their rsvp when I know I will have 100 other things to do and on my mind!

I used to get like a dozen in a day, then it went down to like 5 or 6 a day, and now I only get like two a day and everytime I see someone who is invited always say I haven't sent in your RSVP I keep forgetting. Well set up a reminder or something! I even had someone private message me on FB telling me they lost my invite, well I think I lost your name as well.(I wish I could say that, but they are some of FI's friends and he wouldn't be fond of that lol).

Oh tell me about it. I have people telling me they cannot wait to see us at the wedding, but no RSVP yet. And there are people who we already KNOW will not be able to come, and yet they still haven't sent back theirs. I am considering just adding them to the "not coming" list becuase we ALREAY know they're not coming. But at the same time, we could be surprised. So I'm waiting!

I know! Yesterday I was talking with a woman I work with. She wa complaining that no one RSVPd for her daughters Birthday. She hasn't RSVPd to the wedding! You don't get to be annoyed! Also, one guy who is a friend of FI. He has a wierd living situation so I handed him his invite. He is at our house everyday yet we have nothing from him. Dude, just hand me the damn card.

Ugh tell me about it!!! We have so many RSVPs missing and our due date was last Friday. We are still missing cards from 3 members of the bridal party (including my sister, the MOH haha) and we have received almost every international RSVP back. Those were the ones we couldn't even stamp, yet they managed to go to the post office and mail them. I can't get over how many people are so lazy that they can't mail something that is pre stamped!

I'm with Mekiakoo with the guests who have plane tickets to vacation or another wedding in another state yet they haven't sent in their rsvp. I want to check off "decline" next to their name but at the same time I want my paperwork to match up with the online list. I'm also secretly hoping they change their minds and come to my wedding instead, lol.

I did find out today that the one who is going on vacation hasn't sent it back b/c she wants to mail it when she gives me my gift which is already bought and waiting to be wrapped. It was hard to be frustrated after that because I wasn't expecting a gift from her since she couldn't come. Also she had contributed to a generous gift at my work shower.

I still have three weeks until the rsvp deadline so I guess I just have to be patient.

I agree! I am really stressing about it becaues, I know fiancee's parents will make no effort to contact their friends and family for us. My mom already said that I was going to have to "guesstimate" who would come because she isn't going to call and ask people to give us an answer, she finds that rude. Well maybe they shouldn't be rude and not rsvp in the first place!

Its soo annoying! Almost all the people I called on Monday were like "oops...I have the RSVP all filled out and right here...I just never dropped it in the mail" Really??? Its that hard to walk to your front door and stick it in your mailbox??? Seriously???
