Popcorn Buffet

Has anyone done a popcorn buffet for their wedding? I would love any suggestions on where to buy GOOD bulk popcorn for the least amount of money. (I know Garrett's is the best there is but it's so expensive!) Also does anyone know if it's cheaper than doing a candy buffet? I really would love to do popcorn but I don't want it to be a lot more expensive. Would a mix of popcorn and candy be too random and weird?

Any help/suggestions is appreciated!

I love this idea. I would add some chocolate covered peanuts for people to mix in though.

It will cost a lot less to do a popcorn buffet. Popcorn weighs almost nothing and takes up a lot of volume, so you get a lot of servings in a pound. A pound of M&Ms, on the other hand, doesn't stretch very far.

My FI's last name is "Garrett" so we are splurging on a Garrett's popcorn buffet. We are just using small bags to make a little go a long way. It's a long shot, but you might see if the local manager of the New York (Penn Station) store will cut you a deal if you buy direct, rather than going through the corporate website. Good luck!
