Bridal Show Question

I'm planning on going to my first bridal show this month. I can't imagine staying the whole time and I know you have to be present at the end to win the prizes. So my question is can I get there 2 hours into it and still experience the whole thing and sign up for all the prizes?

I'll be honest, I just want to try and win some free stuff.

Then just come for a few hours. Eat some cake and look at a few things. Make or bring address labels with your name, address, phone, and wedding date on them so you don't have to write it a million times. BUT know that every time you put that sticker on a piece of paper, that usually equals one email/calling list you will now be on. When you enter for the big prizes, you get on a list to receive tons of spam email from wedding vendors, some of whom weren't even there!

MAKE UP AN EMAIL. ... seriously. You will want a seperate email for only wedding stuff, so when the wedding is over you can quit checking it. I can't tell you how many emails I get every day from giving out my email to TWO vendors at a single bridal show. They share your info with ALL of the vendors, and like ashbosity said, some who aren't even in attendance. Also, be prepared for tons of bogus "you won such and such" phone calls. I am STILL getting phone calls about how I won a pot & pan set I never registered for. Grrrr!

no, not really.  Which one are you going to?  Is it the myweddingtv one?  The fashion show takes over everything and it's so loud that you can't talk to any vendors during it so you have to go earlier than the show to meet with vendors and sample food.  If it's the Perfect Wedding Guide one, they sometimes do the fashion show in another room so then it's possible.  After the big prizes are called out, you'll want to stay another hour because they give out hundreds of door prizes (if it's the my wedding tv one).

Bring labels with all your info on it like others said and a separate email is a great idea although I just spam them after the wedding and never see them again.

If you literally just want prizes and dont care to meet vendors, coming two hours before is fine.

I'm planning on going to the PWG one on the 19th. How did you guys go about making these labels?

Just buy some labels at Walmart or Target and there's instructions inside the box. The PWG one in the spring was fun but crazy. There were tons of people there.
