Stay away from The Rookwood restaurant!!! They are HORRIBLE with service/planning.
We booked this place (in the summer) in hopes to have our rehearsal dinner there, but they informed me yesterday, with a week and a half to go before the wedding, that they overbooked the room and we have to find a new space. Um, What?!
Apparently, the girl we booked from left (idk if she was fired or what) but we got NO communication all summer, and the new coordinator never got in touch with us. After countless times trying to email them, we walked into the restaurant and they assured us the new girl would take care of us. That was a month ago. No response until yesterday when she said, "Oh I didn't realized you had that room, the old girl didn't put you in the calendar, so I booked that room".
The worst part is, they don't even seem like that want to help that much. They offered a smaller space upstairs, but our party won't fit, and half of it is outside.. in late Oct I'm not taking the chance that I'll be eating, at night, in the cold. So we had to frantically call about booking a room, a week notice out, last night. Thankfully, I think it'll work out. We found a space that can accomodate on short notice.
Rarr! I'm not giving them a dime of business now, ever! Since yesterday, all of these negative reviews for The Rookwood have come out! Why didn't I see these before?! I'll save you ladies the trouble now... Don't go there! Ever!!
