First of all, TK is annoying. I had this all typed out and linked once already. Then I tried to make a poll and it wouldn't let me add it so I lost the post.
I've known that Canon in D was going to be a part of wedding forever. Being that I also play the flute, I immediately fell in love with
this (clicky) version. There's a very talented musician and singer in choir with me whom I asked to play the flute part and she happily accepted. This will be the processional for myself and the WP.
Earlier this week, I stumbled upon
this (clicky) version of All I Ask of You on solo piano that I absolutely love and FI and I decided that we would use it for the Unity Candle. When I let Mom listen to it, she loved it as well but wanted to listen to the words because she's never seen Phantom of the Opera. When we did that, she thought it would be awesome if I got two people to sing the song for the unity candle instead. You can find a video with lyrics
here (clicky).
So now to the problems.
1) The
only person I would ask to sing Christine's part is the same person playing the flute. I'd feel really bad asking her to do both. She's busy enough as it is.
2) I can't not have the Canon in D piano and flute duet.
3) I really like both All I Ask of You version A LOT. I feel like I couldn't have both because the piano part would have to be simpler for the duet.
So, what would you do? Sorry that was long and drawn out.
