  I'm going to be paying about $225 although I think that's with a $25 discount cause we met him at a wedding expo. I can get his info if you are interested.

  To put it into perspective, I had to pay this much for the pastor in the church to do our ceremony...  plus pay for the use of the church, and the church's organ... 
  This isn't someplace you'll want to skimp too much - the officiant should take the time to get to know you and personalize your ceremony.  This takes time, and they deserve the amount they charge - they'll do research on ceremony wording and special touches, as well as taking time out of their day to meet with you.

  our officiant is the owner of the winery we are getting married at. he's included in the ceremony fee.

  We haven't actually booked--but have gotten a quote from someone that we are considering---I think she said it would be around $270.

  elahenara, are you getting married at Zorvinos? I was looking into having mine there, but I didnt know it might include an officiant? if so thats great!
