David Bridals.... you suck =(

So, I just got back from David's bridal with my MOH and she tried on her dress and ordered it, BUT when the sales lady asked if my other BMs had gotten theirs, I said no. She said "Oh.... their dress is discontinued". They told me that they would email me if that was going to happen so they could get in ASAP and order them. Now, I have to spend more time looking for something else when I had already found a dress that looked amazing on all the girls already.

Back to square one I go.

I was in a wedding a few years ago where that happened. The wedding was in August so we went and tried on the dress in December and were going to order after the holidays. The lady who helped us said no problem whatsoever.

So in January the bride called and said "okay, we are ready to order my BM dresses, style #xyz in color whatever" She was put on hold and the lady came back and said "Oh that color has been discontinued, we are so lucky you called and had to check because other we wouldn't have known!" The bride was like WTF!! No one had said anything about the chance of the color being discontinued. She was furious. So we turned to AA and it was perfect.

I am sorry, they suck. Good luck!

I got my wedding dress from there in August. It came in on September 7th. It had a spot on it. So they were suppose to get me a new one. 6 weeks later I had no dress. They FORGOT to send the email to the distribution center stating I needed a new dress. The manager told me that since my wedding isn't until June Im in "no big hurry anyway". I am pissed.

Oh man, that sucks. I'm so sorry. When my first wedding gown and veil came in, it was ripped and I charged around till I got them to order me new ones. They told me I had time since my wedding is in May. I told them that I don't give a sh*t when my wedding is and that I'll stop payments on everything until I get my stuff. My things were in 3 weeks later.

And the BM dress I had picked out what a long chiffon style with beading on both straps. It's not longer on the website which is weird, since it was on there yesterday.

Playing devil's advocate here...unfortunately, it's difficult for bridal stores to keep track of every dress every bride is interested in for their BM's. It sucks, yes, but at the same time, if it was a dress you loved, you should have been on your BM's to order their dresses immediately. When I was considering a dress from DB, I asked what the chances were that the dress would be discontinued. They said that in order to be safe, if it was the dress we wanted to go with, then I should have all my BM's order their dresses right away. The ladies that work at DB don't always know what dresses will be discontinued and when so it's really up to the bride to keep calling and checking on the dresses they are choosing between.

The lady who said that to me is suppose to be a manager. Isaid the same thing you did. I said I don't care if my wedding isn't for 2 years. And then she got offended when I went on corporate and sent in a complaint and asked for someone to call and confirm my dress was ordered. When she called she was like "I told you that day that your dress was ordered" and I said "Well I had been calling for 4 weeks and my dress was suppose to be in within the next few days every time. Excuse me if I feel a little stressed over it." Last night I looked at their website and the dress I ordered isn't on there anymore. I sure hope with all this confusion I get the dress I want.

We got our BM dresses from David's Bridal, and I shopped across DB's stores in 3 states with the girls.  At several of the of locations, we were issued strong warnings that colors or dresses could be discontinued at any time.  It is basically their standard policy. :( ugh.
