Orthodox priest for an outdoor venue?

Hi all - my fiance is Armenian Orthodox and wants an orthodox ceremony but we really want to have the ceremony at our venue outdoors. I know it's not recognized by the church if it's outside the church. Does anyone know of any orthodox priests (not necessarily Armenian although bonus if they are) - that will perform a wedding ceremony outside the church?

I don't think you will find any priests who will do the ceremony outdoors.  That is a big no no.   You could always have a civil marriage outdoors and then get married in the church afterwards.  But I am pretty sure you won't find a priest who will do that.

There are many Pastors who would do it outdoors. Maybe have a small Orthodox ceremony in a church and then the big one outdoors later?

This may be one of those times when being a grown up sucks and you have to make hard decisions.  Post on your local board ( over there <---- under  "Local Wedding Boards") to see if anyone in your area knows of an Orthodox priest who will do this, but I highly doubt you'll find one, in which case you'll have to make a decision - an Orthodox wedding in the church so it's recognized by the church, or an outdoor wedding by a pastor of another denomination or JOP, which will then not be recognized by the church (to my understanding).  Personally, if it means that much to him/you to have the marriage recognized by the orthodox church, I'd marry in the church and have an outdoor reception.
