So after dating for 5 years my FI proposed on February 10. For Christmas he got tickets to see Les Meserables, which was a huge surprise. I got a new job the week we were going to see the show and my boss was fine with me leaving early to get ready for the show. I got back to his place and he was just finishing making dinner. He was all embarrased because I was earlier than expected and dinner wasn't ready. I didn't think anything of it. So we had a nice dinner of tilapia, green beans, wild rice and shrimp, along with some nice white wine. After dinner he gets up and says one of his coworkers wanted to give me something (she had given me something earlier in the week) and that I had to close my eyes. So I did, and when I opened them there was the ring. I couldn't believe it! And then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
