Workout Accountability: Thursday

Wohoo, it's almost the weekend!  Morning and happy Thursday ladies!

Workout went well, but I pulled something in my neck so I didn't want to risk the last two sets of pullup exercises and swapped in some pushups.  It seems to be all better as of this morning, thankfully.  Today is kenpo, and the last day of week 12.  One more full workout week, and one rest week and we'll have officially knocked out p90x!  I really might do round two in the fall.
Eating has also been okay.  I made FI his favorite cookies last night, so of course I had to have one, and I also baked for a coworkers birthday tomorrow (birthday cake fudge.)  It turned out amazing and the batter was addictive on a whole new level, so I'm going to have to be careful to get that all out of the house quickly.  Tonight is our cheat night (pasta dinner) - yum.

  • Good Morning! That cake sounds yumm... I've been avoiding baking but getting an itch so thinking about it this weekend and just bringing to work.

    Had a dance lesson last night... I know its not as vigorous as the gym per say but we are really enjoying it. Its an activity that keeps us moving an the 45 minutes we are there just flys by.... although my arms are tired by the end!

    This morning was the gym, just over 2.5 miles cardio an some leg lifts, crunches etc. Weighed myself at the gym and 5 lbs down from my doc visit last month! I know different scales can vary but thats encouraging.

  • Good morning! Yesterday was an exercise fail. H is sick which left me to get the kiddo up and to gymnastics so I decided to skip. Still ate well though. This morning we did legs followed by a short run. Nothing else too exciting to report.
  • Holy grumpy mood batman.  This morning my alarm went off to Jillian time and I about threw my alarm clock against the wall.  Needless to say , I stayed in bed, no work out this morning ... gym class tonight and I'm thinking it might a wendy's chili and berry chicken almond salad dinner night ... 

    Think of me today ladies ... I need to get out of this funk

  • Morning!

    Yesterday I did a yoga video and moved a bunch of heavy boxes upstairs so that was a good enough workout for me :)  My legs are still a little sore from that video I did the other day.  I know some of you were curious so here is a link to the website where they have all of the videos:


    There are a bunch of workouts along the right hand side of the screen and if you do a little digging through their categories you can find more.  I have done the "Clean and Dirty Spectrum Real Time Warmup" (to me it is NOT a warm up) and I have done the "Sexy Friggin Body Workout."  Once you get over the fact that the lady is probably in the best shape that you have seen out of anyone it's actually pretty fun.  I don't always keep up with her exactly but try my best.  I also don't have a timer like she does because when I follow her, I really don't need one.  

    Tonight I'm hoping to go for a run or do another one of those videos.  We shall see!
  • Good morning!

    I'm so tired and unmotivated this morning. I'm hoping that changes before I get out of work so I can encourage myself to go to the gym.

    Last night should have been a gym night, but the weather was so nice that I ended up going on a bike ride to a disk golf park with FI. Ended up getting just as much of a workout on the way back to the apartment! (It's all downhill to the park, so all uphill on the way back!)

  • I love baking but I have to get it out of the house fast so I don't eat it all myself.  That is what co-workers are for :)

    Eating healthy the last week has been a fail but have been steady with the workouts.  Today will be a long walk on my lunch hour.

  • Yesterday I did pretty well with my goals. I ate lower sodium than I had been the past few weeks, and drank nothing other than water!

    Today's food goal: No candy. Kick the chocolate craving.

    Today I'm going to go out for a short run. I haven't been running for about a week and a half, due to pure laziness, so just a short run is my exercise goal today. Work myself back into it slowly. I'm thinking 1-2 miles.

    I have about 20 peaches I have to figure out how to freeze today, so that's how I'm going to spend my afternoon. We went camping in the Okanagan (southern BC) where there are orchards galore - anyway, I got 21 pounds of the most perfect peaches for 30 dollars and have been eating them like a machine(5 or 6 a day, lol)!! However, I have about 20 of the 50 peaches left and don't want them to go bad. That would be a crime.

  • Hey all!!! i've missed everyone the past few days! my fiance's grandmother passed away on saturday so it's been a REALLY crazy past few days. I'm finally back at work today and plan to workout when I get home tonight. I'm feeling pretty crappy bc i haven't worked out since friday and i've been eating like crap since friday night. i REALLY need to get back on track because my e-pics are less than a month away!!! also, i'm on vacation wed-sun next week which it's going to be really tough!! wish me luck!!
  • Workout and eating was a fail today. I am feeling pretty crappy but hoping that I will be able to fight through tomorrow and get back on track before I go out of town for the weekend;)! Almost the weekend!!!!!!
  • I was feeling lazy this morning, but it was a Boot Camp day, so I forced myself to do it!  For the first tme, I didn't feel like I was going to puke after.  I kept up and even did some of the intermediate moves instead of the beginner.  I felt really great after!

    Still having trouble getting all my protein in.  Does anyone have any suggestions for high protein snacks?

  • sed - greek yogurt, peanut butter and nuts are great, so is cheese.  what do you currently snack on?

  • I don't normally snack, but I'm low on calories and protein, so my nutritionist suggested I add a snack or 2.  I tried pistachios (the portioned packs so I can stay in control.)  I also tried a cucumber with a hummus cup.  Thanks for the suggestions!

    Hi everyone!

    So I took the past 2 days off because I had friends visiting and was playing hostess.  Definitely didn't eat very well either, so I was feeling pretty crummy about my workouts recently.  But today was better (yay for getting back on track).

    I was able to take about a 3 mile walk during the day today (i love when clients cancel and i get a long lunch!).  Then when I got home I took a 5 mile run and felt pretty good.  I did go out with coworkers for a drink (we are interns at a hospital and are finishing tomorrow, so some celebration was in order).  Dinner was pizza but after eating well all day and running i didn't feel too guilty about that!

    I am super excited to see that the scale finally moved again. I had been weighing in weekly and completely stalled after the first 3 weeks or so. I had about 1 month where the scale was not moving at all - except maybe back up a little - even though I was exercising a bit and eating well. Then my Mom broke her ankle and I haven't checked in the last 3 weeks until last night when I checked in a saw I had lost another 1.5lbs! Yay! This averages me out to 2.5lbs/month lost. Not the 4-5lbs a month I was hoping for, but my goal is only 15lbs, so I can still totally be there by the wedding at this rate. Also excited because my wardobe was very limited when I started this process - everything was too tight! Still not fitting into my drawer full of clothes from 2-3 years ago that I swear will fit again, but at least my clothes from the past year or so fit comfortably again. 5lbs down - 10 more to go.
