gifts for shower hosts?

Did you give one? If so, what did you give?

Our hosts are our parents & MOH. I feel like we are giving them gifts through the whole wedding.....

It's not necessary to give hostess gifts. Don't forget the thank you notes, though.

  • Phew thank god! :) That was going to get expensive otherwise...

  • My husband and I gave our daughter money toward her wedding budget. It would be silly for her to take some of that same money and use it to buy us gifts. All I want is to know that she is happy and a thank you - which she took care of promptly.

Keep saying it Retread - don't let the wedding industry brainwash you. Use good common sense and manners and you'll be fine.

2 of my aunts planned my shower.  I went to Bath and Body Works when they had "By 3, Get 3 Free" and got them each lotion, bubble bath, and shower gel with a thank you note. Cost about $15 each, not expensive but something thoughtful. Definitely gifts are not necessary, but I do think something small is nice.

  • I got my aunt a small flower arrangement as a Thank You.  She was very surprised and excited.  :)
