F/U to "cancelling" CP ceremony

A while back I posted that I had received some bad information about our dream ceremony venue (Foundation Room, MB), and that we are actually able to have our cermony there. I was contemplating canceling our CP ceremony but I didn't want to loose our $850 deposit. Someone suggested asking for the deposit to be put towards rooms instead...

Well that is what we did! I emailed my CP WC and she said that they would make an exception and refund everything over $500 (so $350) and that we could put the $500 towards 2 nights at CP. So we are booked at CP for the Sunday and Monday night following our wedding

I agree it was pretty nice. She actually told me she would do it last week, but I admit I was skeptical thinking it was too good to be true.

So I waited to announce it on TK until the money was refunded and I got a confimation number for the rooms... which happened a few hours ago

That's great! CP has a lot of rules, but I've found that they're very willing to work with you on everything. I've negotiated more than I thought I would be able to.
