Favors

Honey?

Hi!

My future hubby and I are having, as I like to put it, an elegantly rustic wedding. As favors, we'd like to give little jars of honey with a sticker saying our names and the date, and a strand of raffia wound around the lip, just under the lid and tied in a bow.

Is this a good favor idea? Or should we keep thinking?

I like the idea. It's edible and the jar is something they can use after if need be.

I see nothing wrong with your idea at all.

    sounds good to me.

I like it, and if some get left behind or you end up with too many you can still use them.

Oh, I wish I had done this... I was going to but didn't for some reason. I think it will be lovely.

[QUOTE]I am a little late here but I'll chime in anyways.  I am also doing honey favors (I think),. and I am considering honey sticks over jars so people can take them on planes if necessary. I do like the jar idea, I'm just wondering if people will have to leave them behind?

If they are less than 4 oz, they should be fine. And that's only if its a carryon

if your that concerned that people wont take them home on the plane due to size you could always do 1.5 oz mason jars , ive also been tossing the idea of doing this but blueburry honey or blueberry maple syrups :) we are getting married in maine, so i want something rustic also.
