Does anyone know which type of dinner costs more? Seated, buffet, or stations?

    usually seated costs more.  if you want carving stations then usually extra costs because someone has to be there to carve meat

    I've been pricing this out a lot, and I've found it really varies quite a bit - generally seated costs a little more, but I've seen places where it's less. Most places I've looked at, it really varied based on what you want. Generally, a simple buffet (1 meat, 1 pasta, 2 sides, and a starch) will be cheapest, but I think most folks want to offer more variety, and once you do that it completely depends on what you add.

    I thought the buffet costs more. They have to cook more food with plated there is a specific number. But it probably really depends on the venue and caterer they use. I have seen some outrageous prices for plated meals.
