Hi Ladies,

I used to lurk around here for a while, but moved over to the Nest when I decided it was silly to be thinking about weddings when I wasn't engaged yet.  Well, now I'm back with a ring on my finger!!

I will be getting married in Central Mass and am looking for venues to check out.  I'm going to see The Westminster Country Club, Wachusett Village Inn, Chocksett Inn, Townsend Ridge CC, Devens Common Center and the Apple Hill Farm & CC.

Anyone have any ideas of where else we should be looking?  I think we will be inviting 150-200 people.

    Congrats!  You might also want to check out Fruitlands in Harvard (beautiful if you want a tented wedding, plus they let you bring your own alcohol), Gibbet Hill Barn in Groton (beautiful location, really good food)...I am getting married at Zukas Hilltop Barn in Spencer (southern Central MA)...Harrington Farm on the backside of Wachusett Mt is beautiful...there's so many nice spots!  Have a blast starting your planning :)

    Congrats!

    Try Harrington Farm in Princeton.  I went to a wedding there and it was great!

    Congrats!!  This may be more Western Mass than central, but we went to a wedding at The Log Cabin in Holyoke and it was soooo beautiful!

    Congrats!!  I was goign ot add Gibbett Hill and Harrington Farm, but they beat me to it!  Been to weddings at both and they were *beautiful*!

    I'm getting married under the tent at the colonial hotel in gardner. Another place we checked out (along with almost every single one the other girls listed up here before me) was Wachusett Mountain. You can actually get married at the top of the mountain and they let you guests ride the lifts during cocktail hour :) Haha, I just thought that was so cool! What sort of budget are you looking at? That might help elimnate places too so you're not super overwhelmed.
