He Proposed!!!!

Hello everyone, my FI proposed last night! He took us (and our son) to the lake where we used to go on lunch break together when we first met. We met at work so it was weird to drive by his office at night, I knew something was up then!

It was the perfect place :-). We didn't get to stay as long as we would have liked because DS needed to get to bed, but it was still so sweet :-).

We managed to grab a bottle of Veuve on the way home, and tonight we will be cracking it open and celebrating!!!

Congrats to everyone else! I can't wait to be married to my gorgeous man :-).

I am thinking Summer 2012....12 just happens to be the day I was born on, and 20 is the day FI was born on...wow that would be cool!

We're buying a house this summer, so we want to buy/settle in and then plan once we're settled. We have a 2yo DS (mine, and FI will be adopting), so it takes a lot longer for us to get big things done like this...meetings have to be scheduled around naptimes, etc.

I also want to get adoption paperwork rolling since it takes several months to go through the process, and FI wants to adopt DS asap (we do have to wait until after we're married, since once we are it's a lot cheaper to get the adoption finalized).

So really I'm not sure on an exact timeline right now but am going with Summer 2012. But very excited to meet everyone and start planning, we don't get our final preapproval until the 25th and we don't meet with the realtor til Sunday so I am trying to do some wedding research in the meantime!
