Sorry, I forgot to start the AW post today!

My AW is that my parents took me on a trip to New York as a "last trip with Mom and Dad" before I get marries. We made a cool sign last night and went to Good Morning America this morning. We stood in the right spot and were on TV basically all show! It was awesome and I got to get a pictue with Josh Elliot. So cool! Now we are on our way to Dave Letterman!!

That's so cool that you guys went to the GMA taping!! And how sweet of your parents to take you on one last trip.

My AW is that I had a really fantastic weekend. I'm off every other Friday, so I had a long weekend. Friday, we took our dog to a nearby state park and went on a nice, long hike. Then on Saturday, we went to the drive-in, saw The Bourne Legacy and Ted, and when we came home, we sat outside for another 45 minutes or so and watched the Perseid meteor shower. Yesterday I engaged in some retail therapy and then we watched the closing ceremony for the Olympics (we DVRed it, so I was able to rewind and rewatch the Spice Girls several times, hooray!!). School and cross country season starts soon, so it was awesome to have one last weekend to ourselves before my fiance goes back to work.

That's why you asked if we all watched GMA this morning! Figures, today I barely watched. Usually we watch it every morning.

My AW is that I took today off work. Buttttt, it's because I've been sick all weekend and knew if I went into work this morning I would have been told to just go home because everyone I work with is older and would hate me for even bothering to show up for staffing. I haven't put on real pants yet, it's been great. And FI worked a split shift today and had a car appointment in between, so I have the house to myself alllll day, which is a really nice change of pace. Except for going through almost a whole box of tissues today alone. And, even though I've been really sick all weekend, I still went out and helped FI do deck stuff all afternoon yesterday. I hate being sick and when I am, which is not often, I just kind of pretend I'm not and go about my life as normal as possible. FI had to put up with me caughing and being a slow moving slug, but I did my best. I think I napped like dozen times. We'd do something for like an hour, then I'd get tired and fall asleep, wake up to the sound of the circular saw and drag myself back out. However, I'm sure FI will catch what I have and when he's sick, he turns into the most needy, complaining, whiner on the planet. So, not looking forward to that, haha.

My weekend was super busy. Saturday was grocery and back-to-school shopping for the kids. Sunday, the girls and I decided to dump the guys and go on a marathon window shopping spree. Today, I've done 2 perms and 2 haircuts. I'm a hairdresser, but I've only been doing friends and family for about 8 years. And today I'm working with the college my son is starting this fall to find out what happened to his financial aid! His ACT ended up at the wrong branch of the school he's going to also, but we fixed that. I hope this is as easy to fix, especially since school starts next Monday.

I don't have much to AW about this week. We've been super busy. I guess mine is that I move back to campus tomorrow morning to start my last semester of college. It's going to be hard to be away from FI, but I'll graduate in 4 months and 2 days from today.

My AW is that I got flowers sent to me today from FIs aunt for my birthday, we were on vacation over my birthday, so I got them today, they are beautiful and they were such a nice surprise on a Monday!

Cnf- My FI is the exact same way when he is sick, it is horrible, and he is always sick way more than I am.

Cnf- My FI does the exact same thing. When he is sick, had a bad day, or has a really severe hangover, he expects the world to stop for him. I should change all my plans, drop what I'm doing, and sit by his side until he feels better. I dread it sometimes when I see he's coming down with something, he's so whiny, lol.

My AW is just that the Brothers of the Sun tour was awesome and Kenny Chesney was AMAZING (as all you ladies said he would be.) It was a great show and it never rained, making it even better. Plus, our seats were on the field where the Giants play football, and there was a little piece of the firld not covered by the flooring, so I got to touch the field that my favorite team in the whole world touches and got a picture doing it. It sounds so dumb, but it gave me chills to know Eli Manning probably stepped there once, lol. Kenny Chesney also ended his set perfectly by singing "The Boys of Fall" which I love because it's so much about football, and because football 1) was a hige part of FI life from HS through college, so it makes me think of him and 2) it makes me think of my dad because I grew up watchig the Giants with him and I love fall and Sundays when we sit home together, order food, and just watch the games as a family. It's my favorite thing. I want FI to dance to that song with his mom for the wedding, but they will probably pick something more mom/son-ish.

Cnf - Feel better! And I think most of the guys are like that when they are sick!

My AW is that I just found out my brother is coming to visit for 2 weeks in the end of August. I'm super excited, I haven't seen him for over a year, and we are super close. I'm contemplating taking some vacation time to hang out with him, have to see how much I have saved up.

My AW was this weekend. My FI's grandparents and aunt and uncle were up from NC and his little cousin kept calling me "Cousin". It was adorable and I truly have felt like a member of their family since the day I met them. So blessed to be gaining a great family!

Tonight the FI and I are going out to dinner to celebrate my first day of work with a real teacher job and use the free drink & dessert coupons we got at the bridal show before they expire. I've heard good things about the restaurant!

My AW was that my soon to be in-laws came to visit FI and I and took us out to Lunch. This wouldn't be a big deal to most people but the fact that we both just moved 4 hours aways and they were our first visitors that was exciting. Also I put together a book case by myself while my FI put together the other one! Mine turned out the best!!!!

My AW is minor, but I am hooking my advisor up at work with a program with my internship (he gets $$= happy advisor= me getting PhD easier lol). Also I simply had a lovely weekend visiting family :-)

This weekend I picked up my veil and found a beautiful sun dress on ridiculous sale from white house black market for our engagement photos. And went to the Toby Keith convert yesterday which was awesome.

This is late- but my AW is that I got a new puppy! She's technically a dog- maybe over a year old, they aren't sure. She's a rescue beagle from a high kill shelter in the south and is a peanut, literally half the size of my sister's beagle :-)

Mine is a little late too, but I just got back from vacation from Maine (Acadia National Park) a few hours ago and I'm so excited to AW that yesterday me and my FI climbed 3 mountains in the park! Two of them were over 1,000 feet tall! It was one of the hikes in the "Hiking Acadia National Park" book that me and my fiance have, and my fiance was really skeptical about doing it because it was a 6 hour hike. It was a really big goal of ours to climb those specific mountains and I was really proud of us. I love hiking in Acadia because the view from every mountain is insanely beautiful. I'm pretty sunburned and tired now, but I'm glad I did it!
