Bay area wedding venus!?!?!?!?!

So I just got engaged and am planning our wedding!!  I'm trying to find a great venue here in the bay area, but on a pretty limited budget...  I'd like to have something possibly with a tent, but it's not a necessity... ANY input or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!!!

My reception is at the Spinnaker in Sausalito.  It was cheaper than most of the places I saw, and it has awesome views of the Bay (it's right along the water).  However, it's a banquet hall, not a tent.  Also, the banquet hall is not the most elegant (looks slightly outdated), but it's a pretty good deal.

I'm getting married at a private Clubhouse where my grandfather lives, but other affordable reception places I saw were Elks Lodges, Masonic Lodges, and city owned community centers.  I live in Oakland

I think I responded to your other post but I am going to ditto on the Wedgewood Banquet Center in OAKLAND. It is tented but like all of the other Wedgewood areas it is all inclusive. Food, beverages, linens, silverware, stemware, champagne toast, customized cocktail napkins & invites, DJ...The list goes on..The value and pricing cant be beat!

Look into the Marin Art & Garden Center--it's beautiful and you can bring your own caterer and alcohol, which will save you tons..

You could also plan a ceremony in a park of some sort and then do a reception at a nearby restaurant.

    Not sure about a tent...

I loved the tent idea so I've looked at quite a few places with them. I know some people don't consider Livermore the bay area but I DO lol so here's a great place there:

Garre Vineyard and Martinelli Event Center

They have a large tent and outdoor space for the reception. This place was probably my second choice out of everything we looked at.

I'm sure others have already told you this but the main thing that will keep your costs down are doing it in the off season and on a thurs/fri/sun.

I have a PDF with more info if you'd like :)

Take a look at I Do Venues - you'll find lot's of great locations-  If you are looking for a tent- check these out !

East Bay- Consider The Dunsmuir House and Garden
Wine Country - Chardonnay Gold Club
    San Francisco Presidio Golf Club

All of these location have a tent on property so it is not extra charge and then the site fees are reasonable- good luck- if you need more help, give us a shout at I Do Venues

Im getting married in Mira Vista Country Club in El Cerrito next month.  The place has awesome views of 3 different bridges.  Check it out.

If you are in a budget...I am also selling some of the decorations that I'll be using...centerpieces, chair covers, and many more.

@Reese511 can you share your experience and menu that you will be using at Axis? I am almost certain I am booking with them too. I can't make up my mind.
