I AM DEBATING AS TO WHETHER OR NOT I WILL BOOK A BAND FOR MY RECEPTION. HAS ANYONE HEARD EITHER OR BOTH IN PERSON SINCE I HAVEN'T YET. WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE??? ANY OPINION IS GREAT!

They are both AMAZING!!! I have seen both perform and you can't go wrong with either one. We had originally thought of getting Bucktown but because of price and them not being available, we ended up going with Mojeaux. We hadn't seen them perform when we booked them but all my friends had great things to say about them. We finally saw them in November and they were incredible. Everyone was dancing and singing along. I cannot wait to have them at our reception in May! Let me know if you have any specific questions about them. So far they have been great to work with!

I agree with the previous poster. Both are great so you can't go wrong. I was hoping to use one or the other for my wedding but both were booked. (We ended up using Five Finger Discount and they were amazing so it wasn't a loss.) Good luck finding the perfect band.

Btw, I'd totally go with a live band if you can afford it - I think it makes a big difference.

MoJeaux played at my reception in November and our guests STILL have not stopped talking about how awesome they were. Full dance floor all night long. What else matters?

I THINK I WOULD REALLY PREFER A BAND OVER A DJ, THE ONLY THING THAT KEEPS WEIGHING ON MY MIND IS THAT OUR FIRST DANCE SONG IS BY AEROSMITH AND I HAVEN'T SEEN A BAND YET THAT PLAYS IT SO THAT IS WHY I WAS STILL CONSIDERING DJ. LOVE Mojeaux, but you can't go wrong with the Bucktown All Stars either.

If you have specific song requests, Mojeaux (like most other wedding bands) will learn them for the event. You just have to submit the songs to them a few months in advance, so they have time to learn it. And they can play ANYTHING you throw at them, and very well. It helps that they have a male and female singer.

i am having the same problem deciding bw both those bands! i have heard great things about both of them. And....by the way i love your posts! i didnt see screaming...i saw excitement from your posts! if you wouldnt mind please letting me know what you find out. I think Bucktown is cheaper than Mojeaux so thats persuading me to go with them but then i want the best band for my wedding. sooo....im so confused! thanks though and good luck!

I CONTACTED MOJEAUX AND I AM STILL WAITING TO HEAR BACK. BUCKTOWN QUOTED ME A DECENT PRICE BUT I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO COMPARE IT TO YET SINCE I AM STILL WAITING ON MOJEAUX. I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR MOJEAUX LIVE SO IF ANYONE HEARS OF THEM PERFORMING ANYWHERE PUBLIC PLEASE POST IT! I HAVE HEARD BUCKTOWN AND THEY ARE GREAT BUT I'VE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING OTHERWISE ABOUT THEM. LOL. :-)
