Officiant issue

we booked our officiant through Love Notes about a month ago. At the meeting he said he almost always attends the rehearsal dinner and reception. We thought of course we would have you there. So he was invited to both and has declined both. declined the reception because another couple offciant fell through and he has another ceremony after mine. I am sorry for this other couple but I dont to be rushed through our ceremony and through our pictures with our officiant after the ceremony becuase he needs to fullfill this other obligation he made after we booked him.

Am I being bridezilla-y or is it ok to feel this way?

    I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you do want a pic with the officiant, you can do that as soon as the ceremony is over so that they can leave as soon as everything is over. If taking that second wedding would have compromised your ceremony in any way, I would imagine that they would have declined taking it on. If you are worried, maybe just reach out to your officiant to see if they will have time between the end of your ceremony and the beginning of the other to stick around for a picture or two just for peace of mind.

    Thanks court, I emailed him and he said the timeline will not be a problem and we will not be rushed thorugh our ceremony or pictures. im just nervous and a little bummed that the person that marry's us wont be sharing the evening with us.

    It is fairly uncommon for the offiicant to attend the reception or the RD.  And it is very common for Love Notes to have multiple ceremonies in one day.  They are used to it.  They won't shortchange you.  After our ceremony, we took a couple of pics with Marty and it took maybe 5 minutes.  Just tell your photographer you need that shot first so they can be on their way.

    I agree with stephiehall.  The only officiants I ever remember seeing at the reception were family friends.
