Centerpiece Help, PIP

So I just got a good deal on the taller vase in this photo. It is about 6-7 inches high. I got them for $6 each at Joannes.

I was thinking of either using it on the cocktail table or as a centerpiece- but I'm not quite sure what to do with it. What to fill it with etc.

The top, as you can see is really narrow and it will only fit a few stems.
Any ideas?

My first thought was to do babys breath.

    There are floral foam holders designed to fit into tight openings such as this, but which have a bit of foam on top that you could work with.  Anywhere that sells eiffel tower vases might have them.
