DIY Something Blue Shoes (love it!)

What you will need:
- Loose Glitter
- Sponge brushes and decoupage
- Modge Podge or Tacky Glue
Instructions:
- Mix the glue and glitter.
- Start paintaing the glitter glue combo onto the sole of the shoe. To be safe, you can use painter's tape around the edge of the shoe. After you brush the glittter/glue on, sprinle on the loose glitter.
- Touch-up: take a small paint brush with the glitter.glue and touch up the edges. After all the sparkles have dried, it is important you to put a layer of clear sealant over the sole.

What you'll need:
- Petticoat
- Bottle of RIT dye (found next to laundry detergent)
- Washer machine
Instructions:
Step One: Find a white petticoat. Mine was $5 at the antique mall near my house. There are used ones at thrift stores all over the place. They also sell them various places online and I'm sure bridal shops will sell you one for an insane price.
Step Two: Find dye in your preferred brand/color. I used Rit, because I did the dying on a whim and just walked down the street to my local drugstore and that's what they had.
Step Three: Follow the directions on the box. Seriously. I assume they must be different for every brand. Mine basically told me to wash the item in the washing machine with the dye. You let it sit for a bit at the beginning of the wash cycle. Watch the color in that part--that's where you have control over how intense it gets.
When the petticoat is washing, stop it occasionally to untwist it. Wear gloves or you'll end up with colored hands like I did! If you don't untwist it you'll have a crazy, swirled petticoat.
Step Four: Take the petticoat out and dry it. I dried mine in the drier on a low heat with a towel I didn't care about (in case it was leaking dye at all).
After it was dry, I washed the towel in the washing machine to soak up any remaining dye in the washer.
DIY Peacock Fascinator

Supplies: Previously trimmed peacock feathers, glue gun, scissors, various embellishments, felt, small alligator clips from Sally's that were a little over a dollar for 12, bead strands from Michael's for a dollar, and small spotted feathers off an old headband.
Instructions:
- Trim the feathers by first cutting them a few inches below the eye, then using the scissors to curl the bottom fringey part (like you would curl a ribbon) in one direction for the effect I wanted
- After that, I take the larger teardrop shaped piece of felt and glued the curly/fringe part of the feather first, then the two peacock feather eyes overlapped one over the other. Next, glue the spotted feather, and the three strands of beads!
- Next, add the embellishments you have for the fascinators.
- Lastly, glue the smaller piece of felt to the alligator clip. Make sure you glue it to the correct side or you won't be able to open it correctly later, oops!
- The glue that piece to the larger piece of felt on the back of the hairpiece....and its done!
