Thorpewood

Hi,  my Fiance and I have been looing at the website for thorpewood and Im interested if anyone has gotten married there or been to a wedding there. What were your thoughts on the place.  Wondering how expensive it is also because you have to use their caterer.

Thanks

I received information from them last year.  I can email it to you if you would like it..   The email doesn't have pricing for their catering though because I think the menu is designed by you....They don't have standard packages.

The rental price is between $2400-$3900 depending on the day and time of year you have the wedding.

It is a beautiful place but definitely out of my price range.

    HTH!

P.S. PM if you would like me to forward you the information.

i went there to look & its beautiful...out of price range also.  one thing i didnt like is that there were several different levels, i have a friend who dj'ed there, said that was a night mare & that the stink bugs were awful.  it is beautiful  & very scenic.  you have to use their catorer which is quite pricey also

My coworker's daughter had her wedding there and he said it was lovely if you like the quaint outdoor feeling.

We looked there when we were planning.  One thing to keep in mind is if you're getting married in any of the hotter months, they don't have AC.  And the kitchen is right in the middle of where your guests will be seated.

I don't remember how much the catering was, but one thing I liked was that they allow you to bring your own alcohol, so you can save there by going to a wholesaler instead of having to purchase from them.

They also include 8 hours in their rental costs while every other place we looked at only included 4 hours in their standard rental costs, then charged more for extra hours.
