Alterations?

Looking for a good place to get alterations near Boardman OH? I don't trust the place I bought my dress, couldn't even get the wedding date right & had fired several staff in the process of 1 week. So needless to say I am looking for a GOOD/ & INEXPENSIVE place to get my wedding dress altered ( it has a LOT of layers). Has anyone heard anything about Alterations Express?

    I used the one up here in Fairlawn to have a couple pairs of dress pants taken in. I wasn't really happy with the results. The quality of the alterations should have been much better for the price. They did a "just okay" job. I don't know what the one down by you is like, but I would proceed with caution with them - especially with your wedding dress.

    i believe it was the one in fairlawn that a bride, her sister in law, and her mother all came on here and complained about a few months ago. they apparently did a horrendous job on her dress, and it like all came undone the night of her wedding, and they weren't very apologetic when they went to the store after the wedding to complain. 

    the general consensus of this board was that we would not take our wedding dresses to get altered at a "alterations express" and we were a little surprised she did. they got a little offended we weren't more sympathetic, but really, i would not bring your wedding gown to an alterations express!

    Im not sure where that is but i know i great lady in northfield which is like 20 mins from akron. let me know if you want her number.
