RSVP by when ladies??

So, I'm nearly there, nearly ready-to-proof my invites to be ordered end of this week (hopefuly) and then addressed (thanks all for the recos on Michele in SI for calligraphy) and sent out in early April for our June 12 wedding.  Whew! But none of this has actually happened yet! But, what address should we put as the RSVP date?

And could I piggy-back on my own post -- where did you all order pretty stamps?

Thanks so much for all your good help, and good morning!

I would make the rsvp date about 4 weeks in advance in order to allow time for you to contact those who didn't rsvp.

I went to the post office and asked for their wedding stamps.  I believe they have a cake, wedding rings, and the king and queen of hearts right now.

You should ask your vendors when the rsvp date is. Sometimes florists need to know how many centerpieces they need to make, sometimes the caterer needs to know 5 weeks out how many steaks to order, etc. So check with your vendors.

Any post office carries wedding stamps.

We did 4 wks before the wedding, we had to give our head counts 2 weeks prior to the wedding and this gave us enough time to chase down any nonresponders.

I got the stamps from the post office, just make sure to bring a complete invite with all the inserts to the PO so they can weigh it and make sure you use sufficient postage.  You can also get custom stamps from zazzle.com but it's not worth the money IMO.

Thanks ladies.  You were very, very helpful.  Hope to give about four weeks, edging towards five if we get the invitations ready in time.
