must take pictures

Hi Girls,

I`m getting married in 5 days and going back and forth between if I need a list of must take pictures or not. Do you have a list? Does anyone care to share it?

Thank you,
B

Most photographers know to get the basics--bride with bridesmaids, groom with groomsmen, couple with herfamily, couple with his family, cutting the cake, first dance, etc.  What you need to provide to your photographer is a list of any shots outside of that.  Do you want interior and exterior shots before guests arrive?  Do you want close-ups of your table settings?  Pictures of your DJ or musicians?  Close-up shots of the rings or bouquet?  Plus, be specific if you have a certain vision in mind.  "Photos of the bride getting ready" is not necessarily the same as "photos of mother zipping up bride's dress."  "Bride walking down aisle" is not the same as "Wide shot of bride walking down aisle and everyone looking at her."

Also, if there are photos that you don't want, be sure to mention that, too, i.e. no photos of weird Uncle Fred, no photos of people smoking, etc.

Make a list and check with your photogrpaher a day or two before the wedding to see if you are on the same page. If their are any extra special shots that you want, make sure you emphasise those and keep the communication open with your photographer.
    Good Luck!
