Is anyone working with a travel agent in Columbus,Ohio? Do you suggest one for planning the honeymoon? We're on a tight budget and want to get the most bang for our buck. Would be better by just planning our homeymoon ourselves?

We were thinking about doing an all-inclusive in Mexico...

    Are you or your FI AAA members? If so, you can use one of their TA's for free. That is how we booked our HM.

    My mom is a travel agent (she works in another city, though). If she makes commission, she makes it through the hotel. In her office, they charge a nominal fee for their services, but it's not very much ($30 is what she mentioned once). We don't have a lot of money to spend on our honeymoon either. The one thing that's helpful about having a travel agent is that they have access to databases that the public doesn't and they also have knowledge of off season deals as well as resort quality. I'm biased because my mom's a TA, but I think they make it a lot easier and can save you HOURS of research. If you're a AAA member and can work with a TA for free, do it! Otherwise, I guess you have to find out what the fee is and weigh the cost/benefits of paying for the service and knowledge the have...

    We worked with Angel at Island Travel Company.  We went to an all-inclusive in Pun.ta Cana.

    We worked with the travel agency Uniglobe. They are soooo wonderful! Just be forewarned that there is a fee to book your flights through them. (You're better off booking them yourself online.) Other than that, they are fantastic. Me and my FH booked our honeymoon cruise through them recently.
