Clay of Riot Shark Media? I am considering him for our wedding, but he doesn't give out individual references...only companies that he has shot weddings for? I requested them a couple of days ago and haven't received them just yet. I am pretty sure I got his information from TK so maybe someone could give me a review?

    Well we met him and were also put off by the fact that he did not have any references.  We werent sure about him after our meeting and I emailed him to see if I could see more of his work and he never responded.  We felt like going with him was going to be a shot in the dark with no feedback I could fine so we looked elseware.  We had a very small budget for video but we ended up booking with James Futch.  He had excellant reviews, and his videos looked great and he was in our budget plus we get we are getting an extra camerman for our ceremony.  His website is:  http://www.jamesfutch.com/ He has responded immediatley to all of our contact and even comes to the rehersal so he can plan for the next day.

    Thanks for the input Beth...he is slow to respond to my emails, but we have had some contact. I think I'm going to trust my gut on this one. I will contact your guy tonight. I really appreciate the recommendation. If you want me to drop your name, send me a PM...it may save you some money or get you some extras. Doesn't hurt to try.

    Does anyone have any updates on riot shark?  I was also looking into them and wanted to know if anyone has gone ahead and book him?  Thanks!

    Nope...still haven't heard anything since my last email from the weekend. I did reach out to James Futch though and he responded very quickly. He is double the price that I had discussed with Clay of Riot Shark, but in the grand scheme of things, he isn't unreasonable at all. I am still researching for now...

    Video was one of the hardest things for us to find.  Everyone was so expensive.  We met with 6 different people, contacted numerious more and found that James and Clay were the cheapest I could find for what we wanted.  We were looking for 2 camera ceremony (1 manned and 1 unmanned, all the raw footage, and highlight reel.  We had setup a budget of $750 for video so James was under budget for us, only $675 since we had our ceremony and reception at the same place.  I know he is more than Clay, but totally in a different class when you meet with both of them.  Clay is like a 22 year old kid who I had to lead through our meeting and talk the entire time.  James lead the meeting talked about all his equipment, lighting, attending the rehersal, his vision, etc. James was 100 times more professional and you could tell he knew what he was talking about and had been doing this a long time.  Were getting married in November so I will be sure to post reviews.

    Thanks for all the info!!!  Yeah the videographer seems to be the toughest thing to find so far.....everyone I love is soooo much money, I have found one other person who is in the range of clay but I have heard nothing about him but he does email SUPER fast so I will prob meet with your guy and this guy!  Thanks again!

    James has gone up...his base is now $750 and the add-ons drive it up. I also have to pay him to travel to Macon where our wedding is, so although I am intrigued, I kind of have to shop around. I really appreciate your help with this, Beth!

    I used him for my wedding in April of 2011.  It is now late August, and I cannot get in touch with him.  We are about to press charges.  Please avoid Riot Shark Media.  I am devastated that I don't have my wedding video, much less my money.  Don't make the same mistake we did.
