Airbrush tan?

So there's a great lifebooker deal for an airbrush tan today (the hand-applied kind, not the machine). I've never had one before, but I was thinking about getting one for the wedding, but I am having decision-making paralysis again

. My skin is kind of olive-tone, so I'm not super pale, but it is winter. Has anyone had an airbrush tan? Would you recommend it?

I have had it done numerous times. It looks great but I decided to do regular tanning for the wedding only because I am afraid that the color from the airbrush would rub off on my dress. The girl who sprays me also recommended not getting it for the wedding cause of the white dress

Good to know. I wonder if it matters how many days before the wedding you have it done? Maybe I'll try calling the salon.

Yea it does matter. For other special occasions I have gotten it done at least 2 days before so the color sets. It really only lasts 5-7 days so if your wedding is a Sat, I would do it either Wed or Thurs.

For any other special occasion I would probably do airbrush... but I figure I dont' want to take any chances of discoloration, streaking, or getting anything on my dress. Plus we're going to Hawaii 2 weeks later, so I bought enough tans to last me a few sessions for 2 weeks between the wedding & HM. I'm terrified of getting burnt on the first day in Hawaii then being absolutely miserable for the rest of the trip.. It's happened to me on cruises before!

I'm getting an airbrush tan - I do not trust tanning beds just like I don't trust the sun. Too scared of skin cancer

But I've had them before, and as long as you do it far enough ahead, it shouldn't come off on the dress. I'm probably going to do mine Wednesday after work for my Saturday wedding. You just make sure to wear loose (dark) clothes when you go, so nothing rubs off right away. And then don't do anything to cause you to sweat that night. When you take your shower the next morning, any residue not set in will wash off.

I like the hand-applied airbrushing better than the booths... they make sure to go easy on problem areas (knees, elbows) and get the hard to reach spots that booths can miss! And they're not streaky, because they pat you down while you go.

I am not having one, because I have found that even a few days down the tack you can get some rubofff on clothes, especially under the arm area. Also if you do wait a few days, by then some of the colour can have rubbed off places that get a lot of friction, again like under the arm. I just didn't want to risk it!

Well, my mom called the salon for me while I was at work and they said that they do airbrush tan for bridal all the time and as long as I do it 48-72 hours before it will be fine. This salon has great reviews, so I'm going to take a deep breath and trust them.

I am doing a spray tan trial on Monday. I am then planning on wearing a white t-shirt for 2 days to see how much (if any) rubs off. I also want to make sure I don't turn streaky if I sweat!

I'm planning on an airbrush tan, too. I can't use a tanning bed for medical reasons, so I have to take the chance. I STILL have a funky tan line on my shoulders from the Indy 500 last May! I was hoiping it would have faded.
