Entertainment

My fi thinks our wedding will be boring without some form of entertainment. He thinks the dj isn't enough and wants to choreograph a routine. I'm not a fan of doing a dance routine. He also suggested bringing in dancers but I don't think it's in the budget. I thought music and garter toss/bouquet etc, is enough "entertainment". Is anyone Doing anything to entertain your guest? What are your thoughts?

Re: Entertainment

  • We only have a DJ and we aren't doing the traditional wedding bouquet toss or the garter toss. My FI and I both agree that our DJ is awesome. Every event we have seen him at he always has everyone dancing off all ages, we think that is entertainment enough.

  • We are not doing anything extra, minus the horah (sp.) b/c FI is Jewish and this is his favorite part of Jewish weddings.  I am kind of afraid to be lifted on the chair but I'll suck it up for a few minutes!!

I agree with you that music is enough entertainment.  Personally, at weddings I would rather dance and mingle than watch slideshows of pics, dancers, etc.

  • I am not a fan of choreographed numbers or having some kind of performance.  We are just having a DJ.  Everytime I see a show on TV where they have some dance troupe or celebrity impersonator at a wedding, I just think it's so bizarre.
  • We aren't doing anything extra for ours...Our DJ is entertainment enough...
  • You could do a photobooth? I don't think entertainment beyond music and food is needed, though.
