Cleveland Couple marrying in Charleston!

Hi all! My fiancee and I are planning our Charleston wedding from Cleveland, and would love some help with vendors/ideas, etc. Any suggestions for:

Photographer: would love a couple or 2 person team, to capture both of our moment's the entire day!

Rehearsal Dinner spots: affordable with an open bar, set menu?

Hair salon: for the day of, for my hair and bridesmaids...

I have contacted Tiger Lily Florists, are they affordable?? Other suggestions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Kelsey

  • I also planned our wedding from Cleveland. Congrats!

Tiger Lily was wonderful to work with, I'm not sure what your budget is or what kind of flowers you are looking at but that can vary your price.

We didnt have a large wedding, we got married at Middleton Place Plantation, which was wonderful as well. https://www.middletonplace.org/
But our reception was at Tristan in downtonw Charleston. http://www.tristandining.com/

We bought our cake at Publix, it was delicious and very affordable.

And I used Karen at Covergirl brides, she's not cheap but she is well worth it. And we had the spray make-up, which lasted all day. And she came to the beachouse we rented in Isle of Palm.

Our photographer was John Mann, he will travel and he's very reasonable as well. http://jmannphotography.com/

    Good Luck and have fun.

Hi-We've been doing Charleston weddings for 25 yrs. now. We are a husband/wife team and are VERY affordable. We're running 2 photographers, unlimited time, bridals, engagements, + photo DVDs all for just $1795. THat's unheard of in our part of the USA.
You can always call us as late as 11:00pm.  CharlestonWeddingPhotographers.com

  • WOW!! This sounds wonderful! I will try and give you a call later this week after work, very interested in talking with you!
  • @ CharlestonWedding, it is against TOS that you agreed to with TK to post your wares/or services here.

If you want to be a recommended vendor contact them, but you have been reported.

  • I am planning a destination wedding in Charleston as well and I have listed the vendors we hired below:

Photographer:  We hired Amelia + Dan.  They are not the most economical but I love their style and am very comfortable with their level of experience and loved what I have seen from them.  However, they charge everything a la carte as opposed to packages and I thought the amount of time they included in each level was a little low.

Rehearsal:  We are having our rehearsal at Magnolia's but I would recommend Southend Brewery as a more economical choice.  We are hosting a welcome reception there and they have several great rooms to choose from.

Hair Salon:  Me and the bridesmaids are booked at Allure Salon on King St.  I had my trial last week and was very happy with it.  I couldn't fathom paying $175 for hair AND then for make up so I have booked both services there which was more economical than having someone come to our hotel.

Florist:  Tiger Lily is probably the premier florist in town but they were out of my price range and charged a heavy service fee.  I booked Out of Hand which is the florist company for Ohh! Events and they are based in Mt. Pleasant.  I have 7 bouquets, 4 corsages, and 12 bouts for the guys for about $1,000.

    Hope this helps!  Good luck!
