I just realized that it is cool outside today. I'm kinda excited to put on boots. My sister and I are going to scout potential rehearsal dinner sites today. FI has to work and isn't interested anyway.

Morning TLC!

Fall it is, I cant keep the leaves off the deck and we had a frost warning last night. H forgot to bring the plants in, so hope they fair well.

Just want this week over already, I have to work next Sunday and it's going to be the suck.

Boo on the seed failure, jcb. I usually burn them.

It's currently 30*, but that's up from the weekend lows. Anxiously waiting for the 60s they've forecast for the week.

I've been awake since 12:20 am. Insomnia is the devil's work. All I want is to go to sleep - might happen as soon as I get home tonight.

I'm off today and have no plans except for making meatballs for dinner. Although with all of you guys talking about pumpkin seeds lately, I might have to hit the store even though I won't carve jack o lanterns for another two weeks yet.

We had a hard frost last night too, and it's barely above freezing now. DD and her friend are riding their bikes in winter jackets and gloves - they're hardcore! lol

I'm cooking dinner now, we're having a chicken instead of a turkey. Fall usually means I'm cooking Sunday dinner (even though this is Monday) and it's a chicken with veggies, boiled pudding and salt beef. We call it Jiggs Dinner, and it's very bad for you, but totally delicious.

I did seeds the night before last and they were a little scorched, but good. I boiled them first and they weren't soggy at all. Jcb, did you use salted water to boil them, or just plain?

ETA: for blonde moment with names...

tlc - Im excited for boots too! I even broke out the fleece hoodie today. I am not at all a cold weather person, but I do enjoy the cooler temps after a miserably hot summer.

Fall is funny around here. I was wearing a sleeveless dress yesterday, but had to turn the heater on in the bedroom last night. The weather just can't make up its mind what it wants to do. But it is so pretty here with the leaves changing colors!

I am craving pumpkin seeds so badly, but have not been able to find them at grocery stores all week. I'm hoping maybe the gas station has them.
