Centerpiece height questions/thoughts

hello,

i'm alternating my floral centerpieces with black iron/glass candle lanterns. the floral tables will have a low 6x6 of roses, hydrangeas, lisianthus and rinunculus. the other tables will have a candle lantern with a pillar candle & rocks inside with two small (3x3) florals on each side (a head of hydrangea and 3 roses each). i'm also adding some smaller votive candles to both centerpieces.

Question I have is the height of the lanterns. They come in 11" or 17.25" I want to make sure my guests can see each other and have conversations but also want to be sure the 11" isn't too short. Thoughts?

If you have the lanterns already I'd try putting them on your dining room table and testing it out! That's how I did it with my tall vases. You definitely want the guests to be able to see each other.Good luck!

thanks! I ended up buying 11" lanterns and I think they'll work out well. below is my inspriration. and it helps save $$ on flowers as we'll be alternating floral and lanterns!
