Mountain Backdrop.. trouble finding perfect location

Hello! I'm new to the Knot, and my wedding date is not for atleast 2 years, but it would be nice to have a place picked out. I've been looking and looking, and the places that I've found all seem to have something that just isn't right. I was really considering Brasstown Valley, but I've heard the food is okay, and I want better-than-okay food! (not to mention their rooms smell musty - I've been there several times). I also considered Kingwood Golf Club & Resort, but their rooms look sub-par as well.. I just can't seem to find the right place! I know it must have a mountain view (during the ceremony), have an outdoor venue, and take place at a spa/resort or atleast be close to a nice spa. (I'm big on good spas. lol) I'm sorry about all the specifics, but I just want it to be perfect :) Your suggestions are highly appreciated! ♥

Don't know of another place but I attended a wedding at Brasstown recently and the chicken was sooo dry I could not eat it.  But all the rest of the food was good, thankfully there were other options.

Try out Pura Vida in Dahlonega, GA. I strongly considered it for my venue, but I really wanted it at a winery so I chose a winery down the road from it. Still, this place is GORGEOUS, great views!

@belletop Ick, I'm sorry to hear that :( another issue I have with them is that they seem to have a lot of seafood, and my fiancé and his sister are allergic to seafood, so the other options must be good!

@chelseaandtom Thanks for the link! Looking at it right now. Good thing I don't want it at a winery then (I hate wine, blech).

@chelseaandtom Pura Vida does look pretty and the views are lovely, the best I've seen yet - my fiancé and I just aren't sure about the Costa Rican theme. Not that we have a problem with it, it's just not our thing. But thank you anyway :) I appreciate the response! ♥

Hi, I am getting married in April at Chattooga Belle Farm in Long Creek, SC. It is about 12 miles from Clayton, GA (9 miles or so from Kingwood). My guests are staying at Kingwood; some in the condos they have there and some in hotel rooms. The hotel rooms are average, but the condos are very nice. Chattooga Belle Farm is absolutely gorgeous. They do not cater, but do provide tables and chairs. We're getting a caterer out of Greenville, SC. I think Chattooga Belle will hold 300 people. We're having around 130 at our wedding.

Message me if you want more details. It's two hours from Atlanta.

@telips1633 - "Costa Rican theme?"  I think you have the wrong website.

"Dahlonega Spa & Resort" is part of the Pura Vida company, but it is anything BUT "Costa Rican themed."

Any of the vineyards in Dahlonega would fit the bill for mountain views.  My favorites are:
    Frogtown Cellars - http://www.frogtownwine.com/
    Blackstock Winery -
    http://www.bsvw.com/
    Wolf Mountain -

Frogtown & Wolf Mountain are about the same budget wise, and Blackstock is a bit lower.
