Ithink they are awkward. We aren't doing them plus my MOH and one of the GM's are engaged so her dancing with the best man and him with a BM is even more awkward.

I'm kind of with you girls on that, one GM and one BM are my brother and sister-in-law (they're married), and then all the others except 2 are married to other people not in the WP. So... it will be awkward. I hadn't really considered just not doing it, but that would be an option.

I'm not doing one, either. Not just because they are awkward, but because watching a select few people slow dance is boring for the guests. I just think it gets a bit long after the first dance, mother/son, father/daughter, etc.

I've never seen a WP slow dance, but I've seen where they put on a fast song (like the theme song to Friends) and everyone dances together. It's cute and less awkward than I think a slow dance would be.

I've never heard of this until I came to TK, but I think the first dance, mother/son, and daughter/father dances are enough. We probably won't even be using the entire song.

Our BMs and GMs don't know each other, so this would be really awkward for them.

We're not doing one. I've been in weddings where they had them, and I also think they're awkward and pointless.

I honestly hadn't even thought about doing this one. I agree with all of you, they are kind of awkward, especially when you have marriages/relationships outside of the WP. I think fun entrances are cute though, we are working on figuring that one out.

I agree with PP, they are incredibly awkward! Like others have said the BMs and the GMs in our wedding don't know each other at all so that would make it even more awkward. We're having the bridal party enter to 'Shake Your Groover Thing' to make things more fun then FI and I are entering to 'Bring Em Out' So it should get people in the mood to party a bit more and not be as awkward as everyone slow dancing.
