Bridal Boutique by MaeMe

Ok, so I just finished booking everything and saw that there was a David Tutera trunk show going on this past weeken at the new bridal boutique on Severn in Metairie.  My mom and I decided to go even though the wedding is almost a year n a half away...we were just going to look to start getting a feel for what style would look good on me.  Well, one of the owners, Mandy, waited on me.  She was absolutely INCREDIBLE.  She was so sweet and gave me her utmost attention.  She took me through the racks and picked up about 10 dresses I thought I would like.  She didn't limit me to 4 or 5, she told me to pick up every single one I thought I might like.  It was absolutely a full-service salon experience.  In fact, multiple employees were waiting on me throughout the appointment.  When I said yes to the dress (which i totally didn't think I would do on my first time shopping for dresses) everyone started applauding and poured champagne for my mom and me.  Although they had other customers in the store, I felt like I was the only one.  I don't have other experiences to compare this to, but from what I've heard, many bridal salons are snobby and arrogant and this was just the opposite.  The dresses in the salon are stunning and the most expensive one in the store was only $2400.  My dream dress was $1200.  I just want to let all the knotties out there know that Bridal Boutique by MaeMe is an absolutely wonderful place to shop for a wedding dress.  After everything, they took a picture of me and my mom, posted it to their facebook page, congratulating me on finding my dress.  I also received an email from Mandy just a few hours later thanking me for coming in, that I was a pleasure to work with, and that I was going to look stunning on my wedding day.  The whole thing was just so perfect, so if you have any doubts as they are a new store, just go and you'll love your experience!

Congratulations!  I went there the other weekend and had a really great experience as well.  They have a nice selection of well priced dresses and have very good service.  I know they just opened, so I'll be interested to see what people's reactions are once they start receiving their dresses as well.

They are fabulous. So sweet and helpful.  It is a real contrast from some of the other salons in Metairie.

They contract out to someone that does alterations but you can go anywhere you want (but not included in the cost of the dress).  They said it can take up to 17 weeks to get the dress in, but I'll re-post when it gets here and comment on how long it took, dress quality, etc.

Dropped by just as they opened.  Not a great selection but they say they are getting more.  Not that many bridesmaids, but give them a chance.
