NWR: good idea/bad idea

Good idea: appreciating the seemingly nice day from my desk in my apartment.

Bad idea: going out to check for a package that's supposed to come today and realizing it's the most PERFECT of spring days and you can't enjoy it becuase you have 8 more pages of your paper to write.

Anyone else?

I just had to sit through 3 hours of Ad Hoc Reporting in our district's Student Information System, facilitated by someone who has no idea how to teach people how to use something.  It was a bad idea to not have much caffeine before hand...snooooooze city!

Good idea - Going to spend some money on an outfit for an interview I have on Monday.  I may spend too much, which will turn it into a bad idea, but I don't care!  I'm celebrating said interview!

My good idea was staying home from work because I feel like crap, and my other good idea was buying Ben and Jerry's new Red Velvet Cake ice cream (I know I already posted about this, but it's important).

My bad idea is that I've been watching a lot of Grey's Anatomy, since it's kind of mindless and my head is a little foggy, and I feel like I am nearing the point of no longer being interested in TV.

Ok, how was the ice cream??????  That might be my bad (but oh so good) idea for today.  lol

Oh My God...the Ben and Jerry's Red Velvet is AMAZING!!!!!!!

So my shopping trip definitely turned into a "bad news" when I spent $110 on a skirt, two shirts, and two pairs of shoes.  But, the good news is that I saved over $150 in the process!

I'm posting this thread more often...lol. I loved all the responses!

Hcorrigan - congrats on the interview!!!! Yay for new clothes! Tell us about the job prospect!

Jbessica - LOL. I believe ice cream always deserves a double post (triple, even!). That sounds amazing. Please report back about the flavor on a scale of "you should get it next time you're at the store" to "OMG buy all that cartons before anyone else finds out it's this good" - we will be waiting. Thanks.

I say the Red Velvet Ice Cream is run out and get lots!  It's like Coldstone's Cake Batter meets Red Velvet Cake.  Chunks of cake IN IT!  I need to stop drooling before I ruin my keyboard!

I'm interviewing for an Assistant Principal position at a local middle school.  I had to go shopping and buy some grown up professional looking clothes, including a pair of heels, that I hopefully don't hurt myself in!

    Good luck hcorrigan!

As for the ice cream, I'd say it's a run out and buy half of the store's supply.  I'm really a chocolate person, and I don't think it's quite there chocolate-wise, but the cake chunks are amazing and it is a good flavor.

Thanks ladies.  As my friends and co-workers say, I'm ready to move over to the "dark side".

FI and I just got back from grocery shopping and noticed that Blue Bunny also puts out a Red Velvet Cake ice cream that looks very similar.  We didn't get it (I'm on a diet and going away for three days this week so there was no point) but the container is much larger than the Ben and Jerry's size for a dollar or so less than you pay for the B&J one.  We will probably pick some up next week when I'm back from Quebec to try!
