Rolling Greens bridal show

Anyone else go to the bridal show at Rolling Greens today? It was like a photographer covention(must have been at least 10+ photogs there). A bunch of DJ's. but only one florist. No makeup or hair people. Only 1 limo company. But aside from all that, I was impressed with the space, high ceilings, interesting architecture, large "getting ready" spaces, outdoor ceremony possible, and the food was good. I went with my FDIL and had a great time talking with the vendors. I think FDIL is def leaning toward having the wedding there. The rates were pretty good too, even for prime time Sat eve.

That place is really pretty! I actually went and checked it out after the Bonura family took ownership because curiosity got the best of me (and never got to see it under the previous catering company when I was searching - oh well, their loss!)

Anyway, It is really nice! I loved the fireplace in the ballroom! and I agree their packages were more affordable than the Grandview (which is where they said their staff came from)

All in all a very nice venue. I think the guy told me the room could hold 220, but I believe that's the tight-fit-max. including using the extra portion. But I personally wouldn't try to put more than about 175 in there.

Also, it's a golf club, so like most they have one event at a  time!

But the minute I saw the ad for their bridal show I knew it wouldn't be much of a show.

And you would think that the owner's would have realized that.

The Poughkeepsie Grand had a huge show on Sunday Jan 2. (They always have the first Sunday of the year!)

Villa Borghese always has the second Sunday show of the year. which this year was Sunday, Jan 9. THAT's where all the vendors were.

Why, Rolling Greens selected that Sunday, made no sense.. Because all the vendors and many brides were at VB.

But, glad you found a place you like! Finding the right venue is a big check!
