My rings are too loose!

Not because I lost weight, because I'm hanging out where I was pre baby and have been for awhile.  I want to lose some, but that remains to be seen.  However, we moved to a much different climate and that's what is doing it.  I guess they were fine in August when we were here.

I don't know if I should get them resized a little bit or just wait it out to see what summer is like.

Ideas/advice?

Re: My rings are too loose!

  • My fingers always shrink during the winter months.  As long as you're not terrified about it falling off I'd leave it as it is for now.  It will probably fit again during the summer months.  If you're worried about it, but don't want to go for a full-on resize, get some of those spacer thingies.  They'll maketti fit temporarily.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • i'd wait for summer.  Mine are pretty darn loose with all this icy weather, but some days in the summer I can't wear them because they're too tight.
  • I'd wait it out a bit. My ring was a bit loose when I first got it, I'm not sure if my fingers have gotten fatter or what but it fits perfectly now. It would suck to get them resized and then not be able to put them on, KWIM?
  • They apparently have little balls they can put in your ring to make them fit better.

I've already had mine sized down (after having them sized up from the store size), and I don't want to have them sized down again, so I may look into these for myself. They spin around my fingers.

  • I'd wait for summer.

In the winters up here my rings are very loose, but in the summers sometimes I can barely get them off.

  • Yeah, unless you're concerned about them falling off, I'd wait.  I'd prefer them to be a little too loose in winter over too tight in summer.

  • LOL that came out so very wrong let me google that...

  • Hmm, maybe I'll put balls on my ering and leave the band alone.  Most of the time I wear the diamond band and a plain gold band and those aren't as annoying since they don't have the weight on the top to pull it down.

  • The balls/spacers are super easy to have put on and take off. They cost me about $8 from a random jeweler...
